In interior architecture color can make a positive or negative impact on users. In commercial interior design, depending on function of a space, interiors designers play and juggle with colors to achieve the best visual and functional results.
Warm colors like red, yellow, orange have stimulating qualities for humans. Perfect to use in large amount in fitness rooms, physical activity spaces, schools and amusement related interiors. Bright colors are great when moderately used as accent & fixture walls or splashes in furniture and accessories in workplaces, huddle rooms and breakrooms. Let’s keep in mind that overusing can cause overwhelm or even irritation.
Cool colors such as blue, green, purple is generally associated with integrity, harmony and calm. Blue is an intellectual color, associates with communication, trustworthy and security. It is often used in medical companies, financial institutions, and insurance brokers. But these tones should be applied in smart proportions, because they can be under stimulating and even depressing when used in a wrong configuration and proportion.
Light or Dark
Light color is best solution for a field paint in any space because it brings a feeling of openness (makes space to feel larger) and airy.

Wisely used dark tones will bring drama and character.
